OUR GOD RULES

I have just spent a few days of heightened agony waiting on passports for me and my son. We are going to Thailand with 13 others to teach and share the Gospel. We had to have them in hand, and it was looking doubtful. After many calls in which I was told, "you will get them," I was finally told on Wednesday evening, "You might not get them before Monday." In the middle of trying to figure what to do, who to call, what strings could be pulled, considering other traveling options (leaving Tuesday, a day after the group would cost $1500 extra), I settled down to read the Word. God had already directed me to Elijah and God's "soft whisper." God's Word is more powerful than Wind and Earthquakes. I already had many people in prayer. As I prayed and listened, God led me to Scriptures that reaffirmed to me that God had been leading all the time. It was over a year ago that I felt led to go on an international trip. Then our Association begin to look at Thailand because some of our folks served there. God led me to make plans for my son, Andrew (who will be a senior) to go as well. My sister, Donna, who has had a remarkable Spiritual journey felt led to go as well. If God had led us then, He would get us our passports. I had called on Wednesday and been told, "They may not get done." I called Thursday evening, and they were in the mail. Actually they were with Fedex. Friday morning they were in Fort Smith. My niece went and "intercepted them" at the Fort Smith office, several hour before the promised delivery. Thank you God for answering, for leading, for giving me a peace BEFORE I had them. Andrew was taking tests Thursday. I texted him during the day that God would take care of it. Our God rules, and we get to be a part when we pray and have faith.
